World’s Leading Trade Fair for Quality Assurance Occupies More Exhibition Floor Space than in Record Breaking Year 2008 – Internationalism Still on the Rise
The floor space sales and booking phase is gradually coming to an end with a very positive surprise for the 23rd CONTROL, international trade fair for quality assurance. Shortly before the event is scheduled to open, trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG are more than satisfied with bookings received to date. In the meantime, 570,000 square feet of overall floor space has been reserved. Roughly 900 companies will present their products and services. The 23rd CONTROL is truly phenomenal, because where other trade fair venues for capitol goods exhibitions have recently been experiencing significant setbacks, CONTROL is even able to announce further growth!
Project manager Gitta Schlaak comments in this regard: “In comparison with our record breaking year in 2008, we’ve already sold more exhibition floor space and lots of RFQs are still coming in, especially from outside of Germany. Even though the canvassing and registration phases are long since over, we’re still receiving urgent RFQs, in particular from foreign companies who definitely want to participate. Nothing like this has ever happened before, and it allows us to draw conclusions regarding just how important CONTROL is at the international level.”
An important aspect of CONTROL’s long-lasting success story is its extremely practical approach without, however, neglecting the process periphery. With a focus on all subject matter encompassed by industrial quality assurance, users from all over the world will be presented with interdisciplinary, broad ranging information offerings at CONTROL, in addition to the comprehensive portfolio of QA hardware and software. Aside from the time tested special shows and expert forums presented by associations, institutions, universities and research centres, topics such as the following can be mentioned as examples: quality control for solar and wind power, X-ray and computer tomography, optical 3D measuring technology, combined surface and shape inspection, as well as contactless measuring technology in general.
23rd CONTROL – More Value through Integrated Information
Beyond this, so-called customer forums covering the following topics will also be held in cooperation with the Centre for Innovation Coaching in Baden-Württemberg, the ESF European Social Fund in Baden-Württemberg and the STW Steinbeis: Innovation as Future Growth, Competitive Advantages through Efficient Use of Materials and Vocational Education. As a result, the QA community will receive highly beneficial, first-hand information allowing for the targeted preparation of secure investment plans, and for the further qualification of QA experts.
