CONTROL, leading international trade fair for quality assurance: 5 to 8 May 2009 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre – roughly 90% of the exhibitors have already booked floor space again – growth in the area of image processing
Relocation to Stuttgart has been a decisive milestone in the highly successful track record of CONTROL, the international trade fair for quality assurance. General conditions such as floor space capacity, infrastructure and direct connections to the airport are now in keeping with the international character of the leading international trade fair, and have paved the way for urgently necessary expansion. With more than 900 exhibitors from 29 countries, 564,000 square feet of overall floor space and roughly 25,000 highly qualified expert visitors, the first CONTROL in Stuttgart recorded noteworthy growth at all levels.
CONTROL 2009 is already on the starting line and project manager Gitta Schlaak is registering brisk demand. Nearly 90% of this year’s exhibitors alone have already booked floor space for 2009. The important image processing and vision systems segment will be allotted even more space and significance at the upcoming event, and will thus account for a large portion of CONTROL’s complete range of offerings. Due to extensive positive feedback received thus far regarding “industrial image processing” and “contactless measuring technology”, the Fraunhofer Institutes have committed themselves to significantly expanded floor space for the special show covering these topics. Beyond this, the Stuttgart Fraunhofer Institute IPA will present an event forum entitled “3D Processes for Measuring and Test Technology”. A platform addressing the subject of “Quality assurance in the Field of Automotive” is a new addition to the trade fair program. With prospects like these, participants will once again be able to look forward to CONTROL 2009 as an event of superlatives.
