The Battle Against Product Piracy at Trade Fairs
Trade fairs are marketing instruments and they enjoy high levels of success precisely because they exhibit the latest products of the respective industry sector. Exhibitors want to introduce their new products at trade fairs, and visitors want to gather information regarding the most up-to-date developments and trends.
Due to the resulting fact that innovations are continuously presented at the trade fairs, product counterfeiters have also discovered these events as an important medium in two respects: Product pirates exploit trade fairs in their search for models which can be used for creating copies, and they also participate as exhibitors in order to present their imitations.
We of the Schall group of companies have committed ourselves to take action against product piracy at trade fairs in cooperation with all of the trade fair promoters associated with the Baden-Württemberg Trade Fair Forum, under the direction of Baden-Württemberg’s minister for economic affairs Ernst Pfister.
